LEED’S INTRODUCES STYLISH, ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PRODUCTS
Leed’s unveils 100% post-consumer recycled products and other environmentally- friendly products in its Meeting and Conventions launch.PITTSBURGH — November 1, 2007— Leed’s, a Polyconcept North America company, is debunking the perception that environmentally-friendly products compromise style by offering options that are made from recycled material but still maintain mainstream appeal. OwlTM is the flagship collection for Leed’s EcoSmart effort and includes bags composed of either 100% or 51% post-consumer recycled material. EcoSmart also encompasses stationery made from recycled leather or cardboard. For every EcoSmart import order placed, Leed’s will plant a tree through American Forests.
"We stand by our environmentally responsible products," explains Jeff Brown, vice president of marketing and product development at Leed’s. "We designed them to be functional, fashionable, and friendly to the environment. We took the time to thoroughly research the opportunity and are excited to offer well thought-out options."
Leed’s will continue to expand EcoSmart in 2008. Currently the company is committed to conserving energy and resources and is evaluating other opportunities for integrating environmentally responsible practices to its operations.
